Gottigere Shiva Darshan Spiritual Museum
Shiva Darshan Spiritual Museum's main hall had a huge Shivalinga on its roof. Its hollow part ran up to the inside floor of the building, which was well decorated and carried idols of Radha -Krishna .The outer side of the Linga carried well decorated visuals related to the philosophy of life of the organization. It explained life and death in various ways through the pictures and images around the wall. The huge Shivalinga was constructed on the museum hall of Shiva, which displayed depictions of Shivalingas from various dhams.

The other hall was the meditation hall. It well explain the method of meditation through different shades of light and visuals of sky, stars and the ‘Bindu’, the point, on agyaachakra, the point between our two eyes above the nose. This is the main point of meditation. It is a soundproof hall. Shiva Darshan Spiritual Museum's Brahma Kumaris are preparing themselves through the practice of Raj yoga to be a part of it. They visit even remote places to contact people personally to train them in practice of Raja yoga for a happier life.

The Brahma Kumaris
World Spiritual University

The Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University (Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya) is an organisation providing teaching and education in spiritual and moral values and often references its association with the United Nations as a non-governmental organization (NGO) in support of this view. In the academic domain the BKWSU is usually considered a millenarian new religious movement (NRM) and is linked to the Hindu tradition due to its Indian origins. In interfaith dialogue the BKWSU is often considered a spiritual organisation rather than a religion.

The Brahma Kumaris was founded by Dada Lekhraj Kripalani, who later took the name Brahma Baba, in India in the 1930s. It is distinctly identified by the prominent role women play in the movement. While the leadership is primarily female, there is also a significant degree of participation from male members.

The BKWSU teaches a form of meditation that focuses on their identity as souls, and that the soul is intrinsically good. They believe that all souls are children of one God who is the source of all goodness, and that we are one human family. The BKs teach that identifying with labels associated to the body like race, nationality, religion and even gender, divides people and feeds human weakness. They aspire to establish a global culture based on what they call ‘soul-consciousness’ and believe that the present world is predominantly ‘body-conscious’ and therefore requires total transformation.

The BKWSU is well respected for the hospitals, educational programs, environmental projects and outreach programs which they have established.

By the year 2008, with more than 8,500 centers in 100 countries, the movement claimed to have more than 825,000 regular students.

Raj Yoga Course

The organization provides 7 day’s course on Raj yoga, free of cost, at the convenience of the learner, between mornings to evening.

If you have ever wanted to learn to meditate, develop stress management techniques, feel calmer, get to know yourself or just feel a little more peaceful the solution may be closer than you think.

The Brahma Kumaris Raja Yoga Centers (BKs), with over 150 teaching locations across Bangalore, offer people of all backgrounds an opportunity to deepen their understanding of universal spiritual principles and learn a range of spiritual skills through a variety of educational programs. In its simplest definition, 'spirituality' means knowing how to live with meaning and purpose. We have been serving communities in Bangalore for more than 55 years.

Our BK Centers offer regular meditation courses and have welcomed thousands of people from a variety of backgrounds and professions who come to restore balance and focus to their lives through solitude, silence and the study of spiritual values. Everyone here will study Raja Yoga, the form of meditation that leads to clear self-awareness and personal transformation. We believe in the concept of changing the self to change the world and the power of micro-level change: whatever initiative one person takes, others get inspired and do likewise.
