White Water rafting is gradually becoming a more and more popular adventure sport probably due to the comfortable facilities offered. At the end of a day long adventure trip, you are provided with the most luxurious hotel accommodations. Regions like Sitanadi, Kemphole, Netravati, Honnemaradu, Dandeli, Gokarna, Marawanthe beach Karwar and Devbagh are the just the fine places for trying out water rafting. Madikeri in the hilly region of Coorg in Karnataka is an ideal destination for white water rafting.
Agumbe is a village located in the Shimoga district in the state of Karnataka, India. Lying in the Thirthahalli taluk and the Malnad region, Agumbe is among the places in India that receive very heavy rainfall earning it the sobriquet, "Cherrapunji of the South.

Sita river in Agumbe if famous for white water rafting. It is 850m high which actually is the same height as Bangalore.Agumbe has 4 scenic falls - Kuudlu theerta, Onake abbey, Sirimane falls and Jogigundi.All of them can only be accessed by treks. Best time to raft here is in last week of july to first week of August when there are good rains, rapids will be good.

Kali River at Dandeli National Park is best place if your a lover of adventure and passion for water.Rafting in Kali is a real pleasure as the name suggests the water appears to be black due to coloration of the rock underneath. Kalihas its own charm and thrills.
The 9 Km route has 7-9 rapids between 1-3 grades. The rapids depend on the release of the water from the dam. Kali being a perennial river has water throughout the year. The best time to raft is between October and February.

On the backwaters of Shravathi is a place called Honnemardu - a haven for aqua adventure enthusiasts. Lovers of water sports throng this idyllic spot for coracle rafting, canoeing and windsurfing. Numerous islands dotting the backwaters make it an ideal island camping site, too.

River Rafting is an exciting & thrilling aqua sport . This is being conducted in Cauvery River, a place called Bheemeshwari around 100 Kms from Bangalore. The rafting starts from Bheemeshwari and passes through thick forests, which is in Cauvery Wildlife sanctuary, Kanakapura Division, and the rafting event is around 8 Kms. This swift and powerful river stretch is through beautiful valley the real experience through the wilderness.

Around 260 Kilometers from Bangalore situated near Davangere is Kondaji. Kondaji is gifted with a beautiful and vast expanse of simmering lake with hills and forest as back drop. Kayaking, Coracle ride and surfing is offered by the General Thimmayya National Academy of Adventure, Department of Youth Services & Sports, Government of Karnataka.

Srirangapatna has also added Kayaking and rafting into their itinerary. KSTDC has a package for Rs 600 per day which includes lunch and snack.

About Badhra River: The Bhadra originates in the Western Ghats range, and flows east across the Deccan Plateau, joined by its tributaries the Somavahini, Thadabehalla, and Odirayanahalla. The river flows through the city of Bhadravathi and the Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary. A dam was built across the river near Lakkavalli.

About Kali Nadi: The Kali River or Kalinadi is a river flowing through Karnataka state in India. There are many dams built across this river for the generation of electricity. The river has its origin in the Western Ghats and flows westwards to join the Arabian Sea near the town of Karwar. The river flows mostly through the district of North Canara. The river has tributaries, Upper Kaneri and Tattihalla.

About Sithan adi River: Agumbe is a village located in the Shimoga district in the state of Karnataka, Agumbe is among the places in India that receive very heavy rainfall earning it the sobriquet, "Cherrapunji of the South". It is also the home of the Agumbe Rainforest Research Station, the only permanent rainforest research station in India. The renowned herpetologist, Romulus Whitaker called Agumbe the capital of King Cobra. n area near Agumbe has been converted into a protected area for Medicinal Plants to help in their conservation. Agumbe is known as the Chirapunji of the south because of its heavy monsoon rains and rafting on Sita river was a mind blowing experience.

About Cauvery River: Meandering through the woody landscape amidst the forests of Karnataka is the Cauvery the most majestic and sacred river of South India. The river offers both adventure and opportunity for nature lovers.  Tucked away from the milling crowds, yet close enough for you to reach, this camp offers a slice of nature that is entirely unique, one in which you can totally feel free!
